Maybe you already know from my previous posts that I'm actually a bit of a baker. On the one hand, I enjoy baking, but on the other hand, I can quickly lose patience. That's why these almond croissants are perfect for people like me. Because with just a few simple steps and a short baking time, they are ready really quickly.

By the way, the almond croissants are not just ideal for Christmas. They taste heavenly with coffee or cappuccino. Perfect for marzipan lovers like us.

Almond croissant cookies

Recipe for delicious almond croissants that are quick and easy to bake.

preparation45 Min.

cooking time10 Min.

total time55 Min.

Targetedsmall thing

  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 100 g Almond flakes
  • 3 drops Bittermandelaroma
  • 2 mal protein
  • 100 g Couverture
  • 2 TL lemon juice

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan.

  • Beat the egg white until stiff.

  • Pluck the raw marzipan mixture a little with your fingers so that it can be processed more easily.

  • Then put the marzipan, ground almonds, powdered sugar, bitter almond flavor and lemon juice in a bowl and knead well. I kneaded it alternately with a hand mixer and my hands.

  • Finally, add the stiffly beaten egg whites with your hands.

  • Cover the baking sheet with baking paper. Form croissants or sticks with a tablespoon of dough. I use disposable gloves for this because it is a really sticky thing. If it sticks too badly, add a little water to the gloves to make it easier to work with.

  • Roll the almond croissant sticks in the almond flakes and then place them on the baking tray.

  • Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.

  • When they are ready, take out the baking tray and let them cool down. They are still very soft now.

  • When they have cooled, melt the chocolate coating in a water bath and dip the cookies in it on both sides.

Tried the recipe?Let me know, how it was!

Actually, my croissants aren't really almond croissants. As you can tell from the shape, they are more like almond crescent sticks. I just think the shape is great for nibbling and something other than croissants. By the way, I have this version of the marzipan cookiesruhrwohldiscovered it and just thought the idea was great. But the original recipe is from dear onesCatand I'm glad I tried it. Thank you so much you two for inspiration!
